See, I didn't forget this weeks meal plan, even though i'm about a 1000 km away from home! We are still away camping and packing in the very last of summer with hiking, canoeing, cannoying and all that stuff. Right now, I am taking a well needed break before the next adventure.
We got a lot of great dishes here this week to keep you coming back for more. From good ol' traditional Macaroni and Cheese to Fresh Cod Fish Cakes. We got it all! Remember, if you keep your pantry well stocked, you only need to shop the fresh ingredients. It makes life a whole lot easier. Hope you manage to find some inspiration for your dinner table this week.
Monday It's back to the drawing board with the start of another week. Let's get this week rolling with these utterly delicious Shrimp Tacos with a Cilantro Lime Topping. Now, that's a great start to Monday.
Tuesday You just can't go wrong with good ol' Macaroni and Cheese. It was one of my childhood favourites and still today I love it. A great dish that can be prepared in advance, put in the fridge and then cooked when you get in after long day.
Wednesday This Roasted Squash and Lentil Curry makes for a great mid week meal. Serve it over couscous and you are all set.
Thursday This Turkey Fried Rice is such a quick and easy dish to make after a long day. Something the whole family would love. Easy ingredients, easy cooking!
Friday Soup is starting to come back into season, so why not round off the week with this Spiced Roasted Squash Soup. Serve with your favourite bread and you got a great meal.
Saturday These Fresh Cod Fish Cakes make for a great make ahead meal. They can be made in the morning or even day before. If you are really prepared, you can even freeze them. Just defrost and cook just before serving. Serve with your favourite seasonal green vegetable.
Sunday Back to the the end of another week. What better way to finish things off than with this very flavoursome Chicken and Vegetable Noodle Stir Fry. Great flavours and something my whole family loves. All the prep work for this meal can be done early on and put in the fridge. Then when it's dinner time, just take it all out and throw it together. Easy peasy!
Dessert This week's dessert choice is an all time favourite Glazed Carrot Cake. If you are carrot cake fan like me, you are gonna love this one. If you don't love carrot cake, why not check out something else from the Sweets.
