We well and truly are now into the first week of September. Are we busy yet? In our neck of the woods, it is still full on summer and the kids don't return to school until next Friday. Yes, Friday. What a great day to start school. Just to get a little feel that you have to return but then it's the weekend. Kind of like a trailer to a movie. So, we are still having beach days, barbecues and chill out time. All soon to change.
In the meantime, I am still planning food and trying to keep ourselves from going hungry. Like that will ever happen...ha.
If you take a little peek below, you will see we got a great week lined up. No particular theme this week, just all good ol' yummy food.

Monday I cannot seem to think of a better dish to kick of this week than this Parmesan Chicken in a Creamy White Wine Pasta. It has all the goodness....cheese, butter, cream....what more could you want in dinner? I didn't say anything about it being healthy. Just delish!
Tuesday Okay staying with the theme of Taco Tuesday we are brining you Shrimp Tacos with a Cilantro Lime topping for today. I think these are probably my favourite tacos at the moment.
Wednesday These Mexican Rice Bowls are full of flavour and good enough to stand on thier own as a main course. This dish is topped with fresh avocado and grated sharp cheddar cheese for extra goodness and extra calories!!!
Thursday Where would we be without the comfort of Macaroni & Cheese? I am sure everyone has their favourite version of the age old classic, but I gotta' say this one is a keeper.
Friday Why not head into the weekend with a comforting bowl of Three Bean Chilli. You could make it in advance and then have it waiting for you when you walk in the door. I like to serve this with flatbread for a super filling meal. You can check out the recipe for Chapatis which go go great with this chilli. Whenever I make those flat breads, I freeze them to keep them on hand when in need!
Saturday These Easy Beef Wraps would make a great dinner if you are having a busy Saturday. All done in 30 minutes so makes for a super quick meal.
Sunday This week I have picked Honey Mustard Glazed Chicken for the Sunday dinner. It is totally easy and really delicious. Goes well with couscous, rice or baby roasted potatoes. If I were to pick a couple of great sides to go with this chicken it would be Garlic Roasted Brussel Sprouts and Thyme and Lemon Roasted Potatoes. A great meal to end off the week.
Dessert Why not go all out for dessert this week with these Fruits of the Forest Mini Bundt Cakes. Great for any berry or cake lover. This is an impressive looking dessert that is so easy to make with the aid of mini bundt pans. If you don't have them, don't worry, just use muffin tins. They work just as great.
