A very easy before dinner nibble for party guests or something to take to any parties you may be attending through the festive season. We served these at our party Friday evening, and the plate was pretty much cleared by the end of the evening.
I haven't had a cheese ball in years and years. So long in fact, that I forgot they even existed. However, back in November I was at a friend's Thanksgiving dinner and she served a cheese ball as a before dinner nibble. So pretty and tasty. I thought about it for a while and decided I had to make one for the party. I just kind of winged it, but it turned out great and very festive looking indeed. Luckily, I took the time to write it down as I did it. So, I do have a recipe to share with a photo for this party platter.
You can put anything on your platter you like. I served it with crackers, salami and chorizo. It is easy to make, can be done in advance and makes a nice addition to a Christmas table.
Hands down, this is my favourite cheesecake of all time. You just can't beat the good ol' New York Cheesecake.
As I have already mentioned more than anyone wants to hear, I have been pretty busy this week. This cheesecake being one of the things stealing my time...hahaha! Anyway, it is the countdown to our party now......only 14 more hours. Yes, I am up early. Through the weekend, I am planning to sit and write about all the lovely food that will be served tonight. However, here is a sneak peek of what is to come! If you do love cheesecake, you have to try this one out. Promise, you will love it!!!
So, it's a busy kinda week around here. I have been hoping to post earlier but I haven't had a chance to make any new dishes this week. Well, until this afternoon, with this quick and easy supper.
I am in the middle of getting ready for our annual Christmas cocktail party this Friday evening. I have been shopping, prepping, cleaning, decorating and all that goes with it. After the party is over, I should have lots of delicious appetizers to share.
In the meantime, there was a little window of time earlier to whip up this quick chicken dish. Quick, easy and tasty! We served it with baked potatoes and peas. Great midweek supper when you don't have a whole lot of time to be fussing around.
These little salad cups are just perfect for entertaining this time of year. I just made them as a try out for later in the week. Normally I am a bit more organized, but this year I am still finalizing the food. Anyway, they are a success and I think they will be served later in the week. Refreshing nibbles are just as welcomed as hot and lavish ones. These would also make for a great before dinner nibble for any Christmas dinner you may be planning this year.
