This week, we are keeping it al fresco. Yes folks, turn off the stove and head outside for this weeks dishes that we will be serving up in the great outdoors. Also know as the patio.
Summer is winding down and I have mixed feelings. I always love the freshness of fall, the empty beaches, and the quiet house. But part of me yearns to keep summer alive. And what better way to do that than with a delicious grilling menu for a week. My barbecue is behaving again. So it's in the bipolar good books. Which means I am planning on grilling up lots of fresh dishs this week. Hopefully a few new reipces to share next week. Enjoy friends!

Monday These Curried Kebabs are absolutely delish off the barbecue. Serve them with some caramelized onions, Cucumber Raita and maybe even some Nann Bread. Dinner done!
Tuesday Sometimes, side dishes can double up as main courses. I feel this Summer Quinoa Salad is strong enough to sit on it's own for a quick mid week dinner in the summer. Refreshing, tasty and simple. Just what summer calls for.
Wednesday I love anything in a wrap. We have made these Barbecue Chicken & Veggie Fajitas already several times this summer and they are my new favourite. Try them out and you will see what I am talking about!
Thursday This recipe has been kicking around on the blog for quite some time now. In fact it was one of the first recipes, well at least in the first few months. I still love it and make it a few times every summer. Grilled Salmon with Mushroom Wild Rice is not only healthy but delish!
Friday Yes, another vegetable main course for you this week. I am always on the hunt for new ways to cook and enjoy veggies. Not only are they good for you but seasonal vegetables are good on the budget as well. If you can manage to grow your own even better. These Barbecue Vegetable Kebabs with a Mint and Lemon Marinade go great with some bread and even a side dish of rice if you like. Easy cooking!
Saturday Who doesn't love a good burger? Well, I know in our house they are always a hit. These Burgers with a Red Cabbage and Carrot Slaw are great for summer entertaining and for easy weekend eating.
Sunday In the fall and winter, I love a great big Sunday lunch. I mean lots of food! I can easily spend the entire morning in the kitchen cooking and baking away. It is my happy place. In the long and hot summer months, not so much. This time of year, I am lucky to be found in the kitchen on a Sunday. However, when I do step in, it's usually brief and to prepare things for the grill. These Cod Fish & Veggie Parcels are a great way to end off a weekend and will keep you away from the kitchen.
