Is it cocktail hour yet? It has to be because it is so hot here today!!! So, way to beat the heat with a classic Mojito on this hot August summers day.
Makes 2 Cocktails
2 Cups/480 ml or about 2 dozen ice cubes
3 oz of white rum
1 Cup/240 ml of sparkling water or club soda
4 Tablespoons of sugar (more if you prefer)
Juice of one lime
Lime slices for serving
Small bunch of fresh mint leaves
In your blender add the ice, rum, sparkling water, sugar and lime juice. Blend until you have a slushy consistency. This won't take too long. Well, depending on how well your blender blends.
Have ready two cocktail glasses. Place a small amount of mint leaves in the bottom of each cocktail glass. Fill the glass with the cocktail and garnish with a lime slice and a mint leaf. Ready to serve and enjoy.
