Tips For Making 100% Pure Beef Burgers

  • Start with pure ground beef. Buy the best quality stuff that you can afford.
  • When making the patties, don’t overwork the meat. This will make them dry and tough. Combine the ingredients just until they come together for best results.
  • It’s best to let the patties sit for a while before grilling. Basically let them bind so they don’t fall apart while cooking. If time allows, make them in the morning and refrigerate. Take them out of the fridge about 30 minutes before grilling.

To Make the Buns

You don’t have to make your own Hamburger Buns. But sometimes it’s a nice thing to do. We don’t always have time to make fresh bread as it’s very time consuming. But if time is on your side and you’d like the challenge. I have a full Step-by-Step Tutorial on How to Make those Buns.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb Ground beef
  • 1 egg
  • 1 onion very finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon HP or other steak sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt and pepper
  • Chopped fresh parsley

Instructions

  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the beef with all the other ingredients. Mix thoroughly with you hands. Once it is combined, form into 8 balls, Then on a working surface take each meat ball and flatten it out to approximately 1/2 inch thick.
  • For cooking, you can either grill them on the barbecue or cook them on the stove top. The barbecue does give it that extra great flavour. So, if you have one accessible, use it. Put the barbecue on high and cook patties for approximately 5-7 minutes each side. On the stove top, cook for about the same amount of time.
  • Serve with hamburger rolls and any toppings you like. Served here with tomato, lettuce and caramelized onions.

I’m pretty sure a famous burger restaurant beginning with M only uses beef and nothing else? I appreciate you’ve added onion and egg etc.
I wanted to know if this was something you could do with just the beef? Thanks a lot.
